Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking
In 2025, Drummond Memorial Public School hosted the local final of the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition! This is the 30th year of the competition, which encourages primary school students to explore multiculturalism in Australia while they practise their public speaking skills and improve their confidence.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world. Here are some Stage 2 students at the Thalgarrah Environmental Education Centre.
