In NSW primary schools, the study of a language is optional.
Language study allows students to develop communication skills, learn about languages as systems and explore the relationship between language and culture. Students engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of societies and reflect on their understanding of social interactions.

We at Drummond Memorial Public School would like to Acknowledge that we are on the land of the Anaiwan people who have been the custodians of this land for thousands of years. We want to acknowledge their language, identity, stories, presence and the elders that have paved the way for opportunities that exist for kids of all backgrounds in our education system today.
